Carlton Woods Golf

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Carlton Woods opened in 2001 to rave reviews and high acclaim. Designed personally by Jack Nicklaus, the generous teeing grounds and landing areas wind among lakes and parklands, and the greens feature an intriguing design of undulation and bunkering. Carlton Woods is also home to a second course, the Tom Fazio Championship Course.

A Better Environment . . . Along with Great Golf!
Since January 2001, the Club at Carlton Woods has been involved with the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program (ACSP). ACSP provides information, guidance and support to assist golf courses in conducting proactive environmental projects. We have many sound environmental practices in place at Carlton Woods and the ACSP has helped us expand upon these practices to gain recognition both nationally and within our community.

The Cooperative Sanctuary Program addresses five key environmental quality areas:

1   Wildlife and Habitat Management
2  Pesticide Use and Safety and Reduction
3  Water Conservation
4  Water Quality Management
5  Outreach and Education

The Club at Carlton Woods has successfully completed all five categories, and in 2003 was awarded certification in all areas. This exemplary distinction is a national recognition of environmental excellence and is bestowed upon organizations that are taking the leadership role in conservation projects. In 2005, Carlton Woods gained recertification. We are proud of this accomplishment and know that our club, community and wildlife is better because of our caring and dedicated involvement.
